The Sybase ASE ODBC Driver supports the
following Windows operating systems:

Windows NT with Service Pack 5 and higher

Windows 2000 with Service Pack 1 and higher
·
Windows XP Home Edition and Professional
On Windows, the ODBC drivers are 32-bit
drivers. All required network software supplied by your database system vendors
must be 32-bit compliant.
The "Configuring Data Sources"
section in each driver chapter instructs you to start the ODBC Administrator to
configure data sources. To start the ODBC Administrator, double-click the ODBC
Data Sources icon in the Control Panel.
The prefix for all Sybase ASE ODBC Driver
file names is "sy." The file extension is .DLL. This indicates that
they are dynamic link libraries. For example, the driver file name is
syodase.dll.

Sybase product for the file name of each driver.
Disk space requirements are 25 MB of free
disk space on the disk drive where Windows is installed.
Memory requirements vary. If your system
is hosting a relational database system, Sybase ASE, additional memory may be
required. Consult your relational database documentation to determine the exact
memory requirements.
